Simple Statement - Redux

I started typing some thoughts this morning and realized I was echoing previous comments… Errands are calling me out the door so copy and paste will work just fine!!! =)

I like John McCain the man. I believe he will do his best and stand as a centrist. I honestly believe he will not touch Roe v Wade or weight the SC. But I’m afraid that our Senate and Congress will continue to fail at their doing their jobs. I’m afraid of more of the same and the possibility that , if we lose the majorities now or in two years, that [an extreme] conservative agenda will [...] assert itself.

I do not like Barack Obama. I do not like the way he ran his campaign. Not to get into any debate but I *saw* the race card more than I saw racism. I have listened to people talk about caucuses taken over and manipulated. I have read volumes about his past and his past associations and, though I do not think they ‘made’ the man I think they say something about the man.

I do not want more government, repeats of past failed economic policies, a weakened military or national defense. I want to TRUST my president and I simply do not trust Barack Obama.

Our only hope? Divided government and the Democrats doing their damn jobs.

  1. I agree with that last part, except I’d amend it to say our only hope is divided government and every politicians doing their job.

  2. You’re right about THAT! As each day passes I am more and more concerned about the effect of filibuster proof majorities and a President as far left as Obama. That would not bode well for the country and would have very long term repercussions..

  3. Gobecky is right, people fall into this because they are desperate and he is feeding on that, also McCain is paying for the sins of George bush, however I beleive america has turned into a nation of blame someone else, neither republicans or democrats forced people to sign for loans they themselves knew they couldn’t afford or go out and charge up twenty credit cards to the maximum allowed at a high intrest rates, now the government should have regulated lenders but the blame falls in both courts, but americans don’t vote for some Jr. Senator that talks a good game just because you are desperate, look at the facts, do you want a candidate that lies like in this video or one that spent 51/2 years in a Pow camp while fighting for your freedom and he turned down an offer from the North Vietnmese to be released because his father was a high ranking admiral, but he said he would only go if the men captured before him could also be released, when they refused he stayed behind with them and was tortured? Obama couldn’t even pass security or back ground check to join the military do you really want him to be the commander and chief? I am a independent I don’t subscribe to any party, and I don’t cast my vote based race or religion, but on integrity and character. I think Obama is a socialist and I don’t want to live in a socialist country he won’t put country first and he won’t put me ( an american and my fellow americans)first.
